I recently purchased this knife looking to replace my worn-down Chudnow. I was looking for something both reminiscent of my old knife and something that was going to be affordable. I loved that I could choose from three different types of wood for the handle, that it fit my financial need, that feels great in my hand, and that gets sharp at the drop of a hat. I definitely will be purchasing a 2nd knife soon!

Came sharp, but not amazing. One swipe on my jende maintenance tool and the entire knife was sharp. Only problem I see with this knife is that there is no buffer space between the bottom of the blade and the handle, plus the handle of the knife is as wide as the blade. That means sharpening in long run will be a little difficult as the blade wears down.

I've been a Landwell user for almost a decade, and I've found that these Medir knives are a great, less-expensive option. They sharpen easily and it isn't difficult to maintain a great edge on them.
